Each year our school and community come together to celebrate the joy of reading at the Scholastic Book Fair, and this year was no exception. Students and parents alike were greeted by shelves filled with the latest and greatest titles, from beloved classics to exciting new releases. What makes these book fairs so special is their ability to ignite a passion for reacting in children. While watching the students peruse the shelves, you could see their faces light up with excitement as they discovered new adventures waiting for them in the pages of a book. The Scholastic Book Fair goes beyond just promoting reading, it supports education. Proceeds from the fair directly benefit our school, providing resources for our classrooms and literacy programs. To top it all off, PTSO gave a free book to every student of their choosing.
As we reflect on this first of three book fairs to occur this year, we are filled with gratitude for the PTSO, many volunteers, parents, students, and teachers who made it possible.
