In a delightfully messy celebration, students, teachers, and staff drenched Principal McNelis in colorful slime, rewarding 191 students with 100% attendance for August and/or September. Out of a student population of 243, nearly 80% earned the privilege of splattering slime on their principal. This fun event highlighted the school’s emphasis on attendance, a crucial factor in academic success.
“Regular attendance sets the foundation for lifelong learning habits,” Principal McNelis said, smiling beneath the slime. “I’m proud of our students and staff for making attendance a priority.” Research shows that students with good attendance tend to:
- Perform better academically
- Develop better social skills
- Have increased graduation rates
As for Principal McNelis, he’s already looking forward to the next attendance celebration. “It’s a small price to pay for excellence!” he chuckled. Frazier Park School continues to prioritize attendance, fostering a culture of responsibility and achievement. Who knows what the next attendance celebration will bring?
