100 Days Brighter and 100 Days Smarter!

Our school recently celebrated the 100th day of school, a joyful milestone—especially for our TK and kindergarten students in Mrs. Thomason’s, Miss Mace’s, and Mrs. Dominguez’s classes. The celebration began with a cheerful parade through the office and classrooms, where students proudly wore their “100 Days Smarter” crowns, spreading excitement and smiles throughout the campus.

As part of the celebration, each student brought a bag containing 100 items, carefully prepared with their families. These collections provided meaningful opportunities for students to practice counting, sorting, grouping, and explaining their thinking while developing an understanding of large numbers in a hands-on and engaging way.

Back in their classrooms, teachers led a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to celebrate the day while building foundational math skills and number sense. Students explored counting strategies, grouping by tens, comparing quantities, and recognizing number patterns, all while strengthening problem-solving skills and mathematical vocabulary. The 100th day of school was a wonderful way to celebrate student growth, learning, and the excitement of reaching an important academic milestone together.
