In their current science unit, students are exploring the fascinating world of polar animals. Recently, Miss Mace’s class joined in on the fun as they delved into the first animal on their list: the walrus.
They discovered that walruses rely on their impressive tusks for a variety of essential tasks, including walking, climbing, and even creating breathing holes in the ice. To reinforce their learning, they engaged in a range of activities, such as writing about walruses, watching a captivating video of a walrus at the zoo, and crafting paper walruses.
Their artwork is now proudly displayed on a bulletin board, and they’re excited to add more creations as they continue to learn about other polar animals over the next few weeks.
