This month, Mrs. Thomason’s TK students dove into the wonderful world of the letter B! From butterflies to buttons, the class discovered the many things that begin with this bright and bouncy letter.
One highlight of the month was reading a delightful story about a boy who plays with his grandmother’s button box. Inspired by the book, the students explored their own buttons in the classroom, sorting, grouping, and even playing creative games with them. It was a hands-on way to practice their early math and categorization skills while having a lot of fun.
The excitement didn’t stop there! The class also enjoyed a lively roll-and-cover game using jewels and butterfly mats, reinforcing letter recognition and fine motor skills in a playful setting.
Through all these activities, Mrs. Thomason’s students not only learned about the letter B, but they also practiced teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity—proving that learning can truly be a brilliant adventure!
