Cracking Open Learning: A Hatching Experience

Miss Mace’s class has some egg-stra special news! Mr. Manny Gonzales and his family generously donated an incubator and fertilized eggs to their classroom, giving them the unique opportunity to witness baby chicks hatch. Mr. Gonzales took the time to explain the incubation process to the class, describing what happens to the eggs during the 21-day journey from egg to chick.

As part of their engaging lessons, they’ve been learning about the life stages of chickens and even crafted and decorated chick-themed artwork to reinforce their understanding of this amazing process. Over the next 21 days, they will eagerly await the eggs’ transformation into adorable chicks, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and creating unforgettable memories along the way.
