Shaping Up for Learning in Kindergarten!

Mrs. Dominguez’s kindergarten class has been busy exploring the exciting world of 2D shapes! Students have been learning how shapes are all around us in our everyday lives. To bring this lesson to life, the children had the opportunity to work with clay—rolling, molding, and shaping it with their hands.

As they created triangles, squares, rectangles, and circles, the students not only practiced identifying shapes but also strengthened their fine motor muscles. Many noticed that clay feels and behaves differently than Playdoh, making the activity a brand-new sensory experience. The joy and curiosity on their faces showed just how much fun they had discovering and learning through hands-on exploration.

Mrs. Dominguez’s young learners are truly shaping up for success!
