Every Tuesday, students gather for the popular board game club, skillfully led by Ms. Sibley. This engaging after-school program offers more than just fun and games – it provides a unique opportunity for students to develop essential critical thinking skills, logical reasoning, and strategic decision-making. Through games like Battleship, Guess Who, and Boggle Jr., students hone their problem-solving abilities, analyze situations, and weigh risks versus rewards. Dominos and Bingo promote pattern recognition and quick thinking, while Tic Tac Toe encourages forward thinking and tactical planning. As students navigate these interactive challenges, they build confidence, develop resilience, and cultivate teamwork skills.
“I love watching our students grow and learn through play,” says Ms. Sibley. “The games provide a platform for social interaction, healthy competition, and skill-building, but it’s the laughter, teamwork, and camaraderie that truly make this club special. Seeing students develop as strategic thinkers and problem-solvers, while having fun is rewarding.
