Frazier Park Elementary recently hosted its inaugural Book Blast event, powered by Books Are Fun, with the goal of fostering a love for reading and building students’ home libraries. This innovative event complemented our traditional fall book fair, offering a fresh approach to promoting literacy.
The outcome was remarkable, with families and community members raising an impressive $12,000 in book donations. These funds will not only provide books for students but also enhance classroom libraries.
The true spirit of the Book Blast program shone through, ensuring every student received at least one book, regardless of participation in fundraising. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our mountain community, including families, extended relatives, and friends, every student will take home not one, but two books!
The Celebration Continues
To mark this achievement, we will host a special celebration where students will gather to open their new books together! This exciting event will ignite their passion for reading and create lasting memories. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this remarkable success, inspiring a love for reading that will last a lifetime.
