Frazier Park Elementary School was alive with excitement as students celebrated the annual Boo Parade and Halloween festivities in style. Principal McNelis, along with Administrative Secretary Mrs. Castillo and School Secretary Mrs. Velasco, greeted students at the gate dressed in fun Hocus Pocus-themed costumes, delighting children as they arrived in their spooky, funny, and imaginative outfits.
Principal McNelis shared, “It’s wonderful to see our students’ creativity and spirit come alive. Events like this really bring our school community together.”
Throughout the day, classrooms buzzed with Halloween-themed learning and activities. In Mrs. Bloom’s class, students practiced their marketing skills by creating imaginative advertisements to sell haunted houses—a writing exercise that was both fun and educational. Many parents generously donated food items and joined in the excitement during their children’s classroom parties. Madonna (aka Ms. Sibley) commented, “It’s so nice to see parents and community members coming together. Events like this strengthen our school family.”
The festivities continued into the afternoon as students, dressed as everything from superheroes to witches, gathered on the blacktop for the Boo Parade. Mrs. Hon emceed the event as students proudly showed off their creative costumes. Mr. Gonzales, the district technology director, made sure festive Halloween music filled the air, adding to the magical atmosphere.
One parent shared, “It was a fantastic event! We look forward to it every year—it really makes Halloween special for the kids.”
Frazier Park Elementary’s Boo Parade once again demonstrated that learning, creativity, and community spirit can come together in a fun and memorable way, leaving students and families alike with smiles, laughter, and a little bit of spooky magic.
